How it works

Three steps. That is the whole thing.

Most of what makes a divorce awful is not the law. It is not knowing what happens next. We fix that part first.

1

Tell us what is happening

A few questions in plain language. Nothing about money, nothing you need documents for, and nobody needs your name.

About two minutes

2

See exactly where you stand

Your situation read back to you: which route your case takes, roughly how long it runs, what it is likely to cost, and which of our four packages actually fits.

Free, straight away

3

We do the rest with you

Your papers written from your answers and checked before they go anywhere. Help reaching agreement without a fight. And a real person on the end of it whenever you want one.

At your own pace

If your partner is not on board

A no is usually fear, not a final answer.

Most people who refuse at first are frightened or hurt, not immovable. So before anyone goes near a courtroom, we invite your partner somewhere neutral, hear each of you privately, and look for terms you can both live with. Neither of you ever sees the other's private position: only the places you already agree are revealed.

If it genuinely will not work, or if something urgent is happening, a lawyer takes it from there. We will tell you honestly which of those you are in.

Being straight with you

What we will not do.

There is a short court step, and we will not pretend otherwise

On the calm route it is usually one or two brief appearances, sometimes on video. Anyone promising you a divorce with no court at all is selling you something.

We are not a law firm

We prepare, explain and organise. When something genuinely needs a lawyer, we bring you a real one, and they remain your lawyer.

Nothing happens without you saying yes

Nothing is filed, nothing is sent to your partner, and nothing is decided until you choose it. You can stop at any point.

Start where everyone starts.

Two minutes, no name, and you will know exactly where you stand.
