01What unknots is
unknots is technology that provides legal information and document drafting support for divorce and settlement in India, together with access to independent, verified professionals. unknots is not a law firm and does not practise law.
02Information, not advice
Nothing produced by unknots, including roadmaps, suggested splits, estimates, drafts, and answers, is legal advice, and none of it creates an advocate-client relationship with unknots. A licensed advocate reviews your matter before anything is filed, and only a family court can dissolve a marriage.
03Your account and your honesty
You sign in with your phone number and agree to give truthful information. The quality of everything unknots produces depends on what you enter; deliberately false information can invalidate documents built from it.
04The professionals are independent
Advocates and mediators you work with through unknots are independent professionals responsible for their own advice and conduct. They bill you directly and transparently; unknots never takes a share of their fees.
05Safety overrides service
If we see signals of coercion, abuse, or danger, we pause settlement features and surface support. This overrides every other feature and cannot be turned off.
06Fair use
Do not use unknots to harass, to fabricate evidence, to hide assets, to gain access to another person's data, or to automate abuse. We may suspend accounts that do, and safety-related records survive account deletion where the law requires.
07Fees
The reading and the clarity tools are free. Guided cases carry a platform fee shown before you commit, which does not change mid-case. Court fees and professional fees are separate and always visible.
08Liability, honestly framed
unknots provides information and drafting support on an as-is basis. We stand behind the engineering, but outcomes in a legal matter depend on facts, courts, and professionals; unknots's liability is limited to the platform fees you paid us.
09Changes
If these terms change materially, you will be told inside the product before the change applies to you, and the version and date below always tell you what you are reading.
